Real transformation happens when people experience learning that sparks awareness and leads to growth. For over 15 years, I’ve dedicated my work to designing and delivering such training and coaching that empower individuals to break through barriers and expand their potential.
My journey began far from Japan, in Bhutan. After earning my master’s degree in International Relations from the International University of Japan and completing doctoral coursework at Sophia University, I made a bold decision: to step away from academic research and move into the real world of human development.
I joined the American Management Association International as a consultant, designing leadership and management training for both Japanese and global companies. Along the way, I personally experienced life-changing programs that led me to pursue professional leadership coaching. That calling led to a senior role at a Japanese megabank, where for eight years I developed and led global leadership programs for executives, managers, and professionals.
In embracing this journey, I also embraced Japan fully — becoming a naturalized citizen and making it my home.
In 2019, I launched Katwal Consulting with a mission to create transformational learning and coaching experiences. Since then, I’ve worked with a wide range of companies, designing and facilitating programs for everyone from new hires to senior executives, while also coaching leaders navigating change and growth.
